<strong>May 12</strong>

UTD Police and Richardson Fire Department responded to a medical assist at Waterview Park (WP) Apartments. A non-affiliated person was transported by RFD ambulance to Richardson Regional Medical Center.

A staff member reported a theft of a digital camera at the School of Management (SOM).

<strong>May 13</strong>

A staff member reported a dry erase marker board missing from a classroom in the SOM.

A student reported criminal mischief damage to a patio screen door at a residence in WP.

UTD Police responded to a complaint of minors in possession of alcohol in WP. Two students were issued campus citations for the offense. Incident referred to the Dean of Students.

<strong>May 15</strong>

A student reported criminal mischief damage to a vehicle window in WP. The shattered window appeared to have been caused by bb/pellet gun.

UTD Police responded to the Soccer Complex in reference to a reported disturbance. Investigation revealed no criminal offense. Incident was referred to event coordinator.

<strong>May 16</strong>

A student reported a suspicious person following a student in the McDermott Library. UTD Police contacted and identified the non-affiliated person and issued a criminal trespass warning citation.

<strong>May 17</strong>

A staff member reported the theft of several items from two rooms in the Student Union. The items included: an industrial fan, television, VCR, portable CD player and several VCR tapes. Two suspects were recorded by surveillance cameras removing the property from the building.

<strong>May 18</strong>

UTD Police responded to a disturbance in WP. A non-affiliated person involved in the incident was identified, and placed under arrest for six active traffic related warrants with the Richardson Police Department, and six active traffic related warrants with the Garland Police Department.

<strong>May 19</strong>

UTD Police responded to a loud noise complaint at a residence in WP. A student was issued a campus citation for minor in possession of alcohol.

UTD Police responded to a report of a man with a gun in a parking lot of WP. A search of the suspect’s residence and vehicle was conducted with negative results. Investigation revealed no additional witnesses or suspects.

A student reported a male’s wedding ring missing from a secured locker in a locker room at the Activity Center.

A student reported the theft of a textbook from a property bin in the lobby of the UTD Bookstore. Possible suspect information was provided by a staff member at the Off-Campus Bookstore. Investigation of a later theft report led to the identification of and the arrest of a non-affiliated person for the theft.

<strong>May 20</strong>

A staff member reported criminal mischief damage to a fire alarm pull station in WP.

A staff member reported the theft of a media projector from an office at the Callier Center south campus.

A student reported the theft of a textbook from a property bin in the lobby of the UTD Bookstore. Possible suspect information was provided by a staff member at the Off-Campus Bookstore. Investigation revealed the suspect as the same person in an earlier theft report. UTD Police identified the suspect and arrested the non-affiliated person at a business located in Richardson.

A student reported criminal mischief damage to a vehicle in WP.

<strong>May 21</strong>

A staff member reported criminal mischief property damage to the display lighting in the southwest entrance of the Engineering & Computer Science Complex.

<strong>May 23</strong>

UTD Police responded to Floyd Road in reference to a report of two persons hitting golf balls from a field into UTD parking lots. A vehicle leaving the area was stopped and the two occupants identified as possible suspects. No property damage to vehicles or University buildings connected with this incident have been reported.

<strong>May 24</strong>

UTD Police initiated contact with a suspicious person on the UTD Athletic Fields. The person gave a false name and date of birth. Investigation revealed the person’s identity, and previous receipt of a criminal trespass warning citation from UTD Police. The person was arrested for Failure to ID and Criminal Trespass.

UTD Police executed a search warrant at a residence in WP. Two non-affiliated persons were arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

UTD Police responded to a welfare concern check on University Parkway. A student was transported by UTD Police to Richardson Regional Medical Center.

<strong>May 26</strong>

A non-affiliated person reported the theft of a checkbook from a residence in WP. At least two of the stolen checks were forged and cashed at two businesses located off-campus.

<strong>May 27</strong>

A student reported a suspicious person in WP. No criminal offense was committed. A search of the area failed to locate the suspicious person. The complainant described the person as a white male, about 5’11”, heavyset, with white hair, estimated in to be in his 50s.

<strong>May 28</strong>

A student reported the theft of a guitar from a residence in WP.

<strong>May 30</strong>

UTD Police responded to a loud noise complaint at a residence in WP. A student was issued a campus citation for consumption of alcohol by a minor.
